I have been taking photographs since my brother gave me his Olympus Trip35 in the mid 70's (I must have been about 13 at the time) and there began an obsession that hasn't stopped yet.  It is funny how photography engenders obsessives!  Although all my professional work is now shot on digital, for my own projects I prefer to work on both film and digital and the images on this site represent both media and a variety of formats from 617 through 54, 612,69,67,66 and 645 to 35mm. I have always had a leaning towards urban landscapes but also maintain a very active interest in camera-aware portraiture.

My day-job requires me to produce great images to a brief and to produce them on time and within budget.  My own work has none of those restrictions and I am free to pursue images that don't need to conform to the restrictive norms of the image making establishment in terms of both aesthetic and commercial parameters although ofcourse I can chose otherwise!

Like many others I am sure, I have found photography to be a wonderfully curative tool and it has help me find my roots in my adopted country and a small place in the world that I can call my own.

Many of the images presented here have been used in commercial applications, some have won awards but all are made simply to keep me happy and centred.
